One of my earlier photoshop experiments, a picture that my mom took of a panda with a picture that I took of the dolphin, and the tibettan design that I also made in photoshop
I figured out how to draw this design that I found in a book of Tibettan Buddist Art. I thought it would be a challenge to make it with photoshop, which it was, and I am happy with the way that it tiles.
This "Cow Poly" cow was a big adventure in uv unwrapping and rigging. In the picture below I am using a tool that I made to help me scale the pixels on the cows body evenly. The tool has a checker board of 2square pixels (red and green or yellow and orange) and another square grid of 32 pixels (which is black on the cow). The main reason that I needed an even overall scale for this model was so that I could make the hair bump map even.
Below is a bump map that I made with the grass paint brush tool.
below is the would be 1024x1024 pixel image with some color on the grid.
In this pink cow shot, I had just rigged it and was in the process of wieghting the skin so I did a very simple animation. I was playing around with this pink square texture and seeing how the bumps would look.
This is a series of pictures that I took and merged in photoshop CS2. I ran it through a few filters and blends and did some paining on it with a Wacom tablet.
I made this video by taking some virtual poses by Mario Henri Chakkour into photoshop and drawing on them. ITs NOT JUST TRACING, well, sort of like tracing though, but much harder, if I had a light table it would be more like tracing, but just using a wacom tablet. This piece was made with only the brush, smudge, and eraser tools, and doesn't have any of the original in it. I took the Photoshop layers into After Effects and composited them there. Trying to do figure drawing with a Wacom tablet was sort of like trying to play ping pong on a table that is the size of a post card, so I just kept on drawing to get the hang of using the tablet. After doing this I decided that I had to take a figure drawing class. I was trying to focus on the center lines and hips and shoulders, then overall shape. My teacher Maesrto Billy Burger had also mentioned making an alligator walk. so she turned into an alligator. Since the model isn't very alligatory I turned her into a dragon. Which is the one that I made in Maya, and animated.
